How they were designed: These shorts have a unique drawstring we designed. The front part of the draw string is as you see it in the pics, a draw string. The rear half is elastic and sewn into place. It provides nice stretch with the ability to tie them off if needed. It keeps the waist line of the shorts less bulky.

Rise is measured from center crotch seam to top of waist. Length is measured from the top of the waist to bottom of leg opening, on the outside edge. Waist is measured laying flat with the elastic un-stretched.
