One of the reasons I love the poly cotton tee is that this shirt retains its shape. And you've probably heard of the term bacon neck, where the neck starts getting stretched out and it rolls. A cotton shirt tends to stretch out throughout the day. That stretch does not come back.

With our poly cotton shirt, we still have the cotton element to it. It still has that natural feel, but at the same time, it's got that poly element that gives it the stretch. Shape Retention

The polyester element helps the fabric maintain its shape over time..  That allows the shirt to return back to its original shape every time it's pulled fresh out of your drawer.  This helps with sleeves, necklines, and waist openings. 

Wrinkle Resistance

A poly cotton blend shirt will resist wrinkles.  A good example is sitting in your car.  Your back against the seat causes wrinkles in the fabric.  As you move, those wrinkles release from body heat keeping that shirt looking clean.  On top of that, it's much quicker to steam to a wrinkle free state than a 100% cotton shirt.

Quick Drying

The poly element in a poly cotton blend t shirt really reduces the time to dry.  Imagine yourself spilling a bottle of water or sweating on a hot day.  The shirt quickly evaporates the moisture.  

Consistency

The shirt is going to fit the same every time you put it on.  I personally have a drawer full of these shirts at home, once I've had for close to 8 years now.  Of course I eventually wear them thin, but the fit has stayed consistent since day 1.

Many customers find a quality poly-cotton blend softer right out of the package than a traditional 100% cotton shirt.

Less Shrinkage

One of the biggest frustrations with 100% cotton can be shrinkage. A poly-cotton blend tends to be more stable after washing and drying, helping the shirt fit more consistently over time.

How does a poly cotton t-shirt fit compared to a 100% cotton option?

My opinion on this, having worn both shirts for the last 14 years.  The poly cotton shirt will "give you more of a hug" than the 100% cotton shirt will.  The patterns are the same, the cuts are the same.  The polyester element gives more stretch and rebound which pulls slightly closer to the body giving more of a fitted look.
